Made this for class.

Based on this photo: http://500px.com/photo/52 45487
(Photograph taken by: Elena Serebryakova)

*Update* So anyways I've been getting alot of backlash from using a referrence photo and not crediting the person. And again I apologize for not crediting the original photograph.

That said, I did not simply doctor the photo.
I attempted to recreate the original photograph through digital painting.
Here's the .psd file: http://www.newgrounds.com /dump/item/31da412edcbfe3 97366a0db30a65270d

Hey opposition, Tneconno, here's an idea: click on the image so it's full sized then look at the pictures side by side. The hair doesn't match up, some snowflakes aren't in the "right" spot, the eyebrows are different(it's not even a slight difference either...) and the hood is CLEARLY shaded in this picture. You can't do that with photoshop or any editing device; at least, not with that much of a contrast between the rest of her clothing.

That being said this looks phenomenal, I wish I could draw like this. Although it would be good to reference the photo it's based off of.

Mark this review as abusive (cos I'm referring to some previous reviews), but I'm annoyed.

Tneconno, Opposition, quit tooting your horns.
A simple TinEye comparison will show you that a) the hair doesn't match up perfectly and that b) the background is slightly different (cos an actual person isn't THAT meticulous, while a filter is).

... having said that, it is a flat-out copy of a photograph and, while it is good enough to trick people into thinking it's a photomanipulated image, it would be best for ALL to mention your reference.

I agree with the many comments below.
But I think you deserve some credit for your time/
If this was an actual drawing, it would've been cool.

I'm a photo editor myself, but this is hardly anything to toot a horn at, anyone could easily photoshop an image to make it look like a painting (I've been doing it since I was seven, actually...); I don't think it's fair for this to be on the front page, or even for your class to give you a remotely decent score (let's say your in photo editing class, or something). Looking at the original picture, the original is already edited to the max (or at least taken with a kickass camera) so there's nothing you could do to improve the picture or not. This is just cheap rip off for attention, even if you do credit the artist or not.

I could take this very picture of yours and gray scale it in black and white, now, should I get a good grade for that in my class, or even a front page?
