This is my entry for Draw with Jazza'a Challange of the month, I went with a simple pose to make sure the design was clearly visible and with only hints of scaly skin because it really wouldn't look good if I were to cover him completely. (And sorry because I got a little carried away with its lore, hope you'll still find a moment to get through it x))

Story of Grimataur the Hellgate:

Long time ago, in a peaceful kingdom that the name of has long since withered off the history's pages, lived a knight, a warrior with a behemot's body, an embodiment of strenght and might. Sadly like in most legends of old the peaceful time didn't last, one day a shadow fell upon the world, when an corrupt wizard threthend to destroy the very balance betweem our and demon's dimensions, by the king's order the knight was sent out on a mission to stop this great evil.

Their battle was relentless, the wizard chanted spell after spell, colorfull blasts of flames, sparks and explosions trembled the earth but they were no match for the knigt, finally the mage was cut down his body thorn apart by the pure strength of the blow, he fell... but that was his plan all along, he knew that a link between two worlds needs a catalyst capable of withstanding the cry out of countless suffering souls. With his last breath he wispered the final curse, and in that moment the warrior's body started to change, twist, burst out with horns and spikes, the deafening screams of agony echoed troughout the land... but there was something else as feint as they were inhuman sounds could be heard, growling and laughing...

After what seemed like an eternity of torment a disfigured creature fell on the ground. A hulking posture, scales for skin, pure black in colour with but a faint flame in its eyes and not a trace of humanity left, yet the pain was not over there was something inside this monster that terrified even him, a great hunger. Wizard knew that no human wields power great enough to conjure a way for the demons into our world and so he created a way for human soul's into their twisted land, and this beast was just that, a well for unfortunate human eseences that would be doomed to suffer hellish tortures till the end of time, and so driven by this overwhelming carving his eternal hunt began...

(Sorry for bad english and good luck everyone^^)
