This is really interesting.
I enjoy both the form and use of color it makes this artwork more realistic.
The only problem I have is with the legs of the man, unless he is a midget his legs are a bit short for his frame.
But overall well done.

Months of radio silence and then I throw this at you
I dunno man.
It's a bit bland but for someone who really really sucks at drawing like that in colour I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
And yeah, it's obviously not a real samurai, it's a combination of different cultures actually (was for a commission).
This is definitely not what I ever expected to see from you. The rendering of textures and smoothly defined detail makes this a very interesting image to stare at for a long time. Great work.
Man, this turned out Great! Hmm... Although the padded armor is mostly brown, but I like it as it is!
