i like the detail you put into the feathers and the reflection. the charcoal kind of gives it a soft look. but i wouldnt expect this to be on newgrounds. this is something you would see on deviantArt. nice work!

Not exactly what I expected on the Newgrounds Art Portal, but I really like it! The shading is very good, I think the feathers near the tail are especially realistic. I think you did a good job making the reflections in the water blurry and...reflection-y. (Forgive my lack of art terminology.) A puffin isn't really a common art subject, I think, but you really brought out the bird's beauty. It seems sort of...humble and almost melancholy. Great job!
