This was a piece I did as part of a birthday card for a little girl in my extended family here in the Philippines. She loves pandas but there are none here so I made this for her to show she can achieve her dream of meeting a panda someday :)

I used photo references of her for the girl in the pic. (to get position correct, reflection..angle of head..etc.) I did not use her photo directly, only for reference..and left it out completely when I was done. The final result was freehand drawing mostly, except frame, which i used the basic drawing shape tools etc.

Plus lots and LOTS of filters and layers..was much fun to make.

Oh and before you ask, yes I intentionally left her hair simple as it is. She has a doll with is similar hair, that simple so I thought it was be a symbolic fun thing for her. Yeah she noticed right away. I got a loving hug from her. That was worth more to me than any money I could have gotten from selling the pic.

Let me know your opinion, but really I don't care overall, since it was perfect in the eyes of someone I care about greatly. And that is all that matters to me.

This is merely to share my art to the work to see, like in a museum. I have no intention of selling, reselling or otherwise profiting form this picture. Nor do I want anyone else to.

OK is my ass covered now? Can I go now? haha...sheesh

Little weird, man.

Art is always in the eye of the beholder, I suppose - that said, I see this as pretentious and juvenile.

Cute or creepy?

It's an amazing piece of art either way.

I suppose depending on how innocent or warped your mind is, you could see this as absolutely adorable or really freakin' creepy.

wonderful use of color.
