Scale / mosaic

An interesting piece, where you have two different drawing styles to make up the two constituent parts of the Yin and Yang. Personally, like the way that these styles clash, though I think that it might have looked better if you'd have used the same style, just with a reversed colour scheme for the two sides.

Finally, for the fact that this piece is hand drawn, you need to work with the statement of making it a decent circle to start with - a plate or a pair of compasses will help with this, just to pencil sketch a faint outline. From there, you will be able to develop the picture much better and see a much better finished piece. Relatively speaking, you did a better job with the "s" through the middle and the smaller circles. If this is all hand drawn without circle drawing assistance, kudos.

Points of pedanticism, to get them out of the way; this is 90 degrees out of how a taijitsu is normally arranged; generally you have the sides going from left-to-right, not up-and-down as it is here...if that makes sense.
You hand-drew the circle, and it kind of shows. The inner curves look fine, but the outline, especially on the right hand side where there's a kind of bump, sticks out a fair bit.
Finally, I notice the pattern on the yang side is replicated in the smaller circle, but in the smaller, traditionally black circle, you've kind of foregone the yin pattern in favour of black spirals, which was a little odd, yet not overly so.

All that stuff aside...I like it! I kinda found that if you looked at it for long enough it started to feel close to an optical illusion...but maybe that's just me xD. I like the patterns you had for both sides, but I think you could have gone even MORE overboard than you did, here.
This symbol is so widely recognised that you have almost too MUCH creative license on what you can do with it, in regards to colour, size, shape, pattern...as long as you have that basic idea of the two forces, it'll still work. This is good as is...but if you ever felt like coming back to this idea, know you have a lot more room to play around than you think with this ;D And for a hand-drawing, the circles and curves are pretty accurate, so nicely done on that point, I think they're the hardest thing to get right, especially freehand.

As always, keep it up. Always nice to have interesting things to review.

Hey, how is the business going?

This is kind of hard on the eyes. It almost makes me dizzy to look at it.

I actually don't have much to say abut this just because it's such a simple piece. You did a good job at coloring the black in, but there are still a few white spots showing here and there. I think the line work on top is a bit messy and could be worked on a bit. There are a lot of lines that are incompletely drawn for example.

Now that this is on the computer perhaps you could add some color to it. Sometimes black and white is fine, but I could see this having some cool neon like colors with a colored background as well. You could even add a shadow to it to make it look like it's standing up.

So yeah, maybe a version with color since it's already on the computer and a background of some sort would be nice.

Nice

I really liked the two colors, they're very nice, and it has a hypnotic feel, it really made me think to write this review, it has nice textures and the lines were well made, since a drawing like this one requires a very detailed drawing, and you made a great one...

As I said before, the drawing hypnotized me, the two colors made a nice contrast, it just made me feel a little dizzy, but, it doesn't matter, the dawing was pretty good, and you made an awesome work for a 2 hours drawing...

Keep it up Mono, I wanna see more drawings from you, I see your potential, and you are capable of being way better... Keep it up!!
Facundo... lol

Good pic

Ying-Yang pics have been done over and over again so it's nice to see a new approach at that sign. The patterns here look really nice and quite hypnotic (especially the black/bottom part of the sign).

However, I think the white lines in the black part could be a bit thinner, in my opinion this would make the hypnotic effect even stronger.
