Hello all, since I suck at flash and I suck at audio making stuff I descided to try out something that I am good at, The art thread. Thank you newgrounds!
This is my Kingdom Hearts Original Character that I want to make a flash of, unfortunantly I suck at flash (i've been trying for 5 years if thats proof) I guess I'd get the hang of it if someone told me where to start but anyways...
Chiyo is my OC character that I have been developing to personaly rid the steortype(sp) of Mary-sues.
Her story takes place a few weeks before Kingdom Hearts I and it focus's on her developing frienship with Sora, Riku and Kairi. She's unlike any other OC character, i say that because it's true, not because she's stronger, prettier or cooler than all the others, no, what makes her stand out is that the story is really well suited to the KH enviroment, it focus's on the power of hearts and how they can connect to one another, bonding or breaking a close friendship.

Its that you?? haha, keep up the good work
that looks pretty spot on for kairi. Actually with the body and hair and skin color she looks exactly like this emo girl i hang with (just lettin' ya' know)
line art is near perfect... loving the shades and tones on that skirt and tie athough i feel you could really have added more shading to the skirt... and arm band... small errors like the right hand (and arm after her elbow) been to big compaired to the rest of her... but lovely... love the eyes as well.. the pink background is a nice change to all the white i see and really fits the picture... :3
Her hands are huge! Like the Chuck boots though, very edgy. Flash is all about simplifying complex animation techniques...you just do all of one thing at once and break it all down, starting with the basics: concept, script, storyboard, pencilling (break it down to action, form, shape, then detail), and coloring last. Just remember that you want to always do the most extreme motions in any action, such as the farthest-back windup of a punch and the most forward release of that same punch.
That is primitive animation crash course 101...in a nut-shell.
