A New Adventure

Share

Hey Guy's,

so i this is my peace is art for a contest. we had to combine Harry Potter and Lord of the rings (two of my favorite movies) and i desided to draw Legolas (one of my fav caracters) with animals from the Harry Potter Books/Movies. so the animals you see are a Thestral and a Cornish Pixie and of course Legolas. i really did my best and i think it turned out well.

so for how Legolas found them? Legolas went on a new adventure and wanderd into the forest where he found these two. the wing of the Thestral was broken so Legolas fixed it. from then they followed Legolas around because he helped them. (short story but i think that's fine)

I hope you all enjoy it ^_^

This is so cool and adorable! Except for Legolas' tiny hands, I have nothing to say about your line work ;) I don't know how old you are, but you're very talented.
Your challenge for next time: add colors! It can make such a big difference. I'm not personnaly very good at coloring (so I completely understand you haha) but it adds so much life in an art piece.
But I mean, with that said, I love your drawing and I hope you win this month's challenge. :)

NyanaCreation responds:

aahwww thank you ^_^ i'm so happy you like it (and i know that legolas hase tiny hands :p i hoped nobody notised, but i know. i have some trouble drawing hands but it try my best) but yah i'll try to draw some things in color but i'm still learning. hope you'll see that than ^_^ but thanks for the advice and mabey i'll see you around.
thanks again i apreaciate your words alot ^_^

Good work!
I like all the little details in the picture, especially the Cornish pixie! Did you use an image for reference? The only critizism I have is that Legolas' hands are a little too small :)
But the posture, clothing, hair, tree and creatures are all very well made!

You know, elves are always willing to help nature and its animals, so if Legolas by any circumstance met a thestral and a pixie in need of help, I think he would do all in his power to help them.

The nature of the Thestrals are rather sad, I think. They can only be seen by those who have seen death, and accepted it. Harry thought that the wagons that went back and forth to Hogwarts moved themselves all the years, and he wasn't able to see them until he had witnessed and accepted the death of Cedric Diggory!

Also makes me think about Luna Lovegood, who saw them since she was 11 and starting at Hogwarts, the poor thing! She could never mention it to anyone: invisible, skeletal/rotting horses with wings pulling the wagons? I doubt anyone would believe her.

Anyway, keep it up, N!

thank you so much and yes i used a picture for reference so i would get the details good. and it worked out pretty well. (and i know that his hands are small i'm learning how to draw hands as well because now they are a disaster :p but i think these once turned out well) and i know he would help them that is what i thought and i know right Luna Lovegood is a sweet girl i wonder what happend to her that she could see them... somthing to wonder about (i'm not sure if they told it in the books or movies) but anyway thank you ^_^ i'll try my best
