Ok, heres my Heroes of Cybertron version of Megatron.
Hes a mix of G1, and My original HOC design, and maybe with Bay's detailing.
He's a Stationary cybertonian turrent gun in alt form, because he doesn't need a mode for transport,he can fly, nor would he hide. So the only real reason he would want to turn into , anything, is for pure devastation. No better way to channel that power than to focus one full blast as a giant turret cannon. Unlike G1 his arm cannon is grey, the same color he is, but after years of destroying autobots, it has developed its blackish color from laser burns . The canon is harnessed to his back and retracts to his back when not in use, then moves around his body and connects to his forearm for firing. The etched marks represent the amount of autobots he's killed on earth. After a kill, he places his left pointer finger into the hot barrel of his cannon, waits for it to glow orange then burns his kill mark on to the surface.
NOW THIS... THIS IS FUCKIN MEGATRON.

I like how you gave hime the old school look but took a bit from the movie Megatron and put him on fucken steroids awesome job.

The bottom part should be spaced out a ll more, so it doesnt look it hops around to move. I know about the descripition, but it just looks better if the bottom is spaced out more.

Is right. This picture is just awesome. Even with the leg reflecting sunlight and his face being mirrored in the window. Sure the stance is awkward, but it makes me smile because I can imagine a catwalk under him XD

nahhh,, I think we both have our specialties. I couldnt do a caricatures to save my life, he isn't into robots, so it all balances out :-D

Sorry but in my opinion megatron looks like he's got a pretty femanine stance. It's not intimidating at all.

so i really dfont want to make fun of this pice cause detail is amazing, and it just looks badasss, but, ughh, i have to say this. he looks gay. like, the way hes standing. looks like hes a drag qeuun goin down a catwalk. sorry man, had to say it. amazing art though.

Yea, it's an OK pictiure, I would have expected something better from you, no offence. But everything about him, the proportions ,his legs, that gun, the angle. it's all so... so wrong. Maybe if your ever up to it, try making this pic again, because right now. it isn't that good.
What really gets me is that building.

And you are damned right about the treansformation, I follow Transformers since I was little tekno-knob on the metallic ground and G1 was the hottest thing..
The only reason I'm not giving you a 10 is because the building on the left looks odd, and the reflection is not accurate. Anyway, don't feel bad about that (unless you are an insane perfectionist like me that would go nuts for the slightest detail u_u )(hope that isn't the case... it's not healthy, I tell ya :[ ), as I said, I liked a hell of a lot, and I always like what you do.
You have no idea how much I wish to be the head of a project on the future, and have you as lead artist :)

thanks for the review and ya its fine, I will use what I I need to fix this and apply it to my next piece.
pose is pretty awkward, and he doesn't match up with the background too well. i recommend that ya read a few guides on perspective, Loomis briefly covers that topic in one of his books. that said, its pretty cool to look at and i can tell you spent alot of time on this.

I like the detail!
Good detail and such, but i do agree with the other comments. The pose is messed up, and the background fades out/ gets smaller too soon. Is his right foot in midair or on the ground in the background? Keep it up and improve on poses. Now that i look at it a bit more carefully the building looks a bit odd compared to the other ones. Can't really explain it tho.
although the mirror is one of the greatest parts of the pic i am seriousley impressed with the obsession of detail.

Everyone is saying they don't like it cause he looks as if he is walking.
Maybe, he noticed you looking at him, and decided to turn his body, and then move his arm with that big ass gun, and shoot you're f**king face off and desinagrate you entire body into nothing but ash and dust.
Thats what I think when I see his leg like that.

haha, its basically him coming from around that building, I figured the fact that the ground is crumbling under his feet would indicate that he is infact walking. but I guess I needed to be more obvious.
That's a messed up pose he's got there... His lower body wants to go diagonally, while his upper body wants to go straight.
But i dont like his pose with a leg going forward it looks like hes about to take a walk, but his top half of his body looks like he should be in a standing pose. The detail though is very good.
I cant stop staring at his left leg (the one he's stepping with)
Either its more detailed, or something, but all my attention gets drawn to it.
Overall i like is design and concept, its soooo badass.
This is a glorious thing you've done.

I always wondered why he turned into a 'gun' in the old 80's version. It was probably a marketing ploy vs the analogy of how devastating his power is by turning into 'just a weapon.'
I would love to see his transformed mode on another submission.

he turned into a gun because he wasn't part of the same line. there were different lines of diaclones, he came from the real world line.. Gun, cassette tape player, microscope etc..
When they merged the lines for the American release (Transformers) they worked with what they had when making the story,
Why does he need moving legs and tank treads, wouldn't just one suffice. Anyway nice picture man, love the textures.

They don't move in robot mode, they are on his feet like shoes, the treads are actually from the turret where it uses the treads to pivot the base .
also there's only 2 treads but they are split on each foot to look like toes.
