did you use corel painter?
For the first time I saw red ornaments on white creatures in videogame Okami. Now I see them more and more often, are such animals from some folklore ir is it Okami that inspires people?

Hmm I'm not too sure to be honest. In highschool I watched a lot of anime and it seemed to be a fairly common thing for spirit-like animals to look that way. So it may be more Japanese folklore than anything.

I'd say it's pretty much a mix of a lot of things I like all expressed in one image, I mean usually the things ppl like influence their art from what I've seen :)

ya now that you mention it I do love that movie, I might have just subconsciously done it XD
Ookami/Mononoke Hime influences? The wolves nose should probably be a little bit sharper but overall the attention to detail is fabulous.
its a pretty cool concept, and i like the whole misty/foggy background that fades out. the lady looks good too, no glaring mistakes, but the wolf has a few problems with it: its front legs are pretty tiny, and his head looks kinda wierd in the pose its in... maybe define the neck a little more. other than that, i like it.
why does the wolf have a target on his ass lol

The wolf, sadly, doesn't look like a wolf, it's more like a lion or, has it as already been said, Red XIII from Final Fantasy VII. It's not even like a domesticated dog, no, it's a feline, not a canine, and that's sad ;_;
An the other hand, I really like the "Okami feel" and the looks of the girl, she's like a cross between the little red riding hood and the big bad wolf.

Alrighty I know I'm getting a lot of concerns about the wolf not being entirely wolfy. I originally called the piece 'Lion of the Wolves' it's now 'Wolf remix' because I touched up its colours for an art contest. I get a little bored with typical xerox animals and wanted something a little more interesting (atleast to me), so there you have the skinny :P
Its remind me okami and I dont know why :P

lovly poseing but if u could give the wolf more of a action of line it would really set the drawing off more very good though ^^
The wolf to me looks more like a a big cat than anything resembling a canine. Most wolves have a longer, more pronounced muzzle. The Wolf actually reminds me of Red VIII from Final Fantasy 7(both have feathers).
The girl's pose is a bit awkward, but I like the clothing you gave her. She is very exotic looking, without looking the least bit slutty.
