This Rock Creature was my first full body costume. Made in 1993, it was made of latex rubber and expansion foam hot glued to garden coveralls. It was painted with a special paint able to stretch and twist when dried. I learned a lot about costume making. Always build in a ventilation system-it didn't have one. This suit was hot and you had to strip down to the bare necessities when putting it on. Only 1 person had to help put it on. That was just to zip up the front. Your arm mobility was at about 85% and everything else was pretty good with the movement. I made it for my body but in the pictures a friend of mine is wearing it. I think he liked wearing it as much as I did. You know, if you're into losing your own body weight in sweat.
