This was my first digital animal portrait, of a beautiful tiger.

Wow, this is...this is just stunning. The amount of detail put into the textures and different colors of the fur is superb. The proportions are all excellent and the eyes could not look more realistic unless they were moving.

In summation, everything is just breathtaking because of how realistic the tiger looks. It must've taken a long time to create the amazing detail of this portrait. There was definitely no talent wasted here. Terrific job.

Matsuemon responds:

Wow! Thank you SO much for such a thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it! This was my first animal portrait, so I was very happy with how it turned out. Kind of surprised myself. The texturing of his muzzle was the hardest part. Took several layers blended together, and a custom brush, to get it to look right.

Your art is epic I really enjoy looking at it. You should make more of it. :)

Matsuemon responds:

haha wow, my second "epic" in the last 24 hours. Thank you so much, and yes, I'm constantly working on something new, so you'll be seeing a lot of stuff from me. I've got like five projects going right now =)

Fairly good texture!

Matsuemon responds:

Thanks =) Oddly enough, the texture on the muzzle was the hardest part. Just could NOT get it to look right. I think it ended up being three different layers blended together.

nice tiger!

Matsuemon responds:

Thanks! Yes, I was very happy with how it turned out, considering it was my first, furry subject =)
