Something I made tonight. Totally not planned. Just was sitting really upset and frustrated and pissed cause of my friend and just started to sketch in Photoshop. It took me 2,5 hours to make that. All this time was chatting with my bestest friend. Because she's my muse also I always show her my stuff. And what she wrote about this sea creature (fairy? mermaid? I dunno myself) is too awesome to not to share.
"I think the little mermaid just lost her throne, more like she got bitch slapped out of it." ;P

Background was of course Photoshoped from stock pictures.

Just a little constructive criticism.

It's hard to draw things under water because of the lighting. I think that next time you draw an underwater scene you should take under consideration the wobbley, blotchy lighting. Also the shading on the face is confusing as to whether you meant that as skin being darker or shading for her cheeks. She has too few eyelashes for my taste, and the transition of hair to forehead is a little unnatural. Over all, I love this. Very very sexy and well done. Keep it up.

one reason I like this drawing

is that it seems to be more original from style of drawings to overall look. This is by far one of your more interesting pieces.

I was wondering if you or your muse played an Indie PC games called Aquaria. This particular piece reminds me of that game. On another note, I'd personally liked the perspective to be zoomed out a bit more, as I can't see anything below the waist(does she have legs or a mermaid tail?).

Maszrum responds:

To be honest I didn't plan this drawing so prefered to leave it like it is cause didn't know myself if I want her to have tail or legs or what.

Nice Drawing!

I really like how the backgrounds looks like and also your friend is your muse???
I never though that people could be like someone's muse before, also my muse games, swords, and flowers.

Maszrum responds:

Lol. It just means she inspires me. ;P
