I started out with a sketch, I was going to originally have the scene be a battle. The eyes of the robot were initially rough lion paws which a traditional artist was going to be riding, using a pencil as a lance. But as I was drawing I though they looked like a robot's eyes so i started drawing a big old robot. I didn't intend on this being the final piece, but I quite liked the way it turned out and decided to colour it digitally. Next time I do any monthly challenges I hope i have more than a gaming mouse to colour with.
