3D rendering of a jack-o-lantern, with the design of the NG Tankman, ~ 3 hours modelling. I'm submitting for Spookfest, what the hell.

Made the pumpkin first, then using the NG logo as a reference within the 3D view, cut out and refined the polygons to match the logo, then extruded the edges inward. I rushed the background, but it's supposed to be somebody's porch in the moonlight.

nice

Haha that is a cool piece of work... only things I dislike about it is the lighting, it's a little too dark and could be presented a little better, and that you could add a lil more of a stencil effect to the carving, have a part of the top of the pumpkin linking to the tankman's head and the tank's cannon--otherwise I'd think a carving like that would just fold over without those supports. Other than that, I think that stem is a little too tall. But it's still not a bad piece by any means!

m1kclark responds:

I agree with all your comments. In fact, there's actually one piece of the pumpkin that isn't attached to anything, and would simply fall out in real life. I tried "moody" lighting and ended up with just plain "dark."
