This is a piece that I drew and colored for a marker rendering class I took back in early '06. The character's name is Charlie and, if you couldn't tell from the torn duds, he's a shape shifter. The piece, however, was more about the environment than the character, rendering things like light, shadow, vegitation, differences in rock composition, etc. in a convincing way using markers. I don't claim to be the world's greatest colorist, but I am quite proud of what I was able to accomplish with this piece. If I could go back in time, though, I'd rethink the colors of that plant life toward the lower right corner.
