Started this work in January upon discovering this amazing photograph...

http://jeremyhowitt.deviantart.com/art/Ella-Rose-La-Source-mono-377491769

Model is Ella Rose: www.ellarosemuse.co.uk

So I put it to graphite and used Bouguereau's Venus as reference to further the statuesque resemblance.

Probably a 48 hour piece. 8"x~14".

edit: Frontpage! Thank you so much, Newgrounds!!

She is beautiful! Should color it though!

Wow. This is amazing! I don't know about you, but I really like that foliage in the background. And those trees! Oh man, those trees are awesome!

Luciaea responds:

Haha, glad you like it. Background always takes 75% of the time...

stunning piece of work! very well done.

Luciaea responds:

thanks for the kind words!

i really appreciate the sculpting of her body in particular, what i find difficult, and yes, this might be a superminor factor ( i just tried not to repeat what everyone else has been sayong already ;) ), that it is built slice over slice, for every part of the background, therefore the crosshatching shade is awesome and very lively, but what disturbs the lines in the front is the grass in front of her feet, takes a bit of delicacy. so- nothging to complain about really, lovely lighting and lovely technique. - very good use of contrast, too.

Luciaea responds:

Thank you... for such an in-depth response...

it is awesome. also this looks like it could be an aquarius piece honestly

Luciaea responds:

good point. thank you!
