This is THE final version of this, having found some minor irritations that I had to fix, I deleted the original post, and had some trouble with getting this one up.

It's an illustration of the legend of St. George, a knight who fought and killed a dragon for whatever reason I'm not actually that familiar with the story. I do, however know the actual story of St. George, who was a Christian soldier in the Roman Legion under Emperor Diocletian, and when Christians began being persecuted, he spoke out against it. He was beheaded and is considered a saint for his act of martyrdom. He is also one of the most venerated military saints and is the patron saint of England, despite having likely been born in Syria.

I put an allusion to his real story in this piece, as you can plainly see a roman soldier's helmet sitting in the grass next to George.
