Strange.
Silverpoint with black ink and white acrylic paint and collaged elements on wood panel.
Some friends of mine were staging a play adaptation of Roger Corman’s darkly humorous film Bucket of Blood, about a busboy sculptor whose cover up of an accidental death leads to an opportunity to slip in among the local art elite. It's set in a beatnik club and the director wanted art for the theater walls to sell and to set the scene, so I made this for the gallery/set dressing.
I'll take a better photo when I get a chance- I had to use a cell phone flash for this and it screwed up the values a bit. There should be a slight progression of dark to light from bottom to top that isn't properly visible here.
Strange.
