I like this piece, it's differnt from a lot else I've seen on the page but that's not a bad thing. I like novel art :) The choice of colors and the depth of the image is great. I particularaly like the trees and powerlines that help give depth and even rounds of the world in the distance, really nice touches.

I also like the shading of the horse and the choice of color. The main critique I have is that the horses anatomy looks a bit odd. I know there are many types of horses but this seem disproportioned somewhow, in particular the head seems a bit small? I know Arabs (horsebreed) have quite small heads, but not this thinn? Regardless, I am not sure on the size of the head. Second, the pose of the horse is a bit odd isn't it? On the front legs, the left leg is in front of the right but on the back legs its inverse. I guess it's possible that a horse coulds stand like that but it looks, to me, a bit odd? Lastly, I like the coloring but I'd love to have seen some more pale color on items further away from the "camera". In general, items far away loose color and become more pale/white the further away they are. The reason is that airparticles "have color" and you actually see them in the distance, which is why things become paler. Lightening up some aspects of the background would thereby given even more depth. For instance the fence could have been a bit paler to also push the horse more into the foreground. I would also loved to have seen some brighter highlights on the horse back since the sky is so bright. These points are my motivation for 3.5/5.

However I still really like the piece. The horse looks strong and is placed in a well thought through composition I think. Very balanced. Very nice.

Yeah I do need to work on my anatomy but I couldn't see much wrong with it myself since I had the horse reference picture to help me but I still got it wrong? Unbelievable... Anyway thank you for the advice.
