Syringe

Share

Primitives ahoy...

Just playing and did a quick little something I may use in an image. Yes I know there is no scale on the syringe the reason for this, I couldn't be arsed to make one lol.

Total Make: 1 hour (with smoke breaks)

Render Time: 30 seconds

Bevel

Excellent composition. A few points of constructive criticism:
- Bevel the edges: plastic tools don't have such sharp angles.
- The IOR on your glass objects generally seems too high. Why, for example, is there a black line on the upper edge of the syringes?
- Specularity: the glass and needle need a sharper, more pronounced specularity, while the plastic needs almost no specularity.
- Your main light is in the upper-left behind the syringes, correct? Add another, half-energy light in the lower-right to fill out the shadows on the plungers.

Their right, it dose look "almost" real.

Sorry I didn't come back to look at the rest of your work till now, busy busy with other stuff, you know. (And on that note, should check out the rest of the portal at that). Love the shape and proportions of the models. Sorry for the rushed writeup.
