(Alternate title: Victory of June)

This is a piece to sum up 2015 for me. It was a year of resurrection for many people; the bands Disturbed and Disarmonia Mundi, the games Shenmue 3, The Last Guardian, and Doom, and the film franchises Jurassic Park and Star Wars all made a comeback after being M.I.A. for years, and some, decades.

In the image, I wanted to symbolize each of these in a way that they were easily recognizable, but didn't directly copy anything from any of the franchises or bands. I n 2015, I also found that I used a cool color scheme more often than not, so I wanted to push myself into doing something with VERY warm colors. I also had been using a portrait format for some of my newer pieces, so a landscape felt more roomy and comfortable. Lastly, I wanted to focus more on being able to distinctly separate the foreground, mid-ground, and background, so I hope that comes across well in the sizing and positioning of objects. All in all, this piece was made to wrap up 2015, start 2016, and continue dipping my toes into more surreal art.
