Death holds a scythe. Bitterness holds a cigarette.

A beautifal piece of art, seriously. You're possibly one of the greatest artests I have ever seen, no joke.
I think you're an amazing visual artist, but this, in my opinion is your best. You convey so much meaning and so much emotion through it.
Each time I see it I find it more depressing.
Author's Response:
Thank you very much. This piece was meant to be nothing but negative, so I am very glad you read it as such.
but awesome. can be used as a wallpaper
Author's Response:
I assure you, there's nothing random about this image.
so far this is my favorite out of all your art
Some things in life can leave you speechless... this is one of them...
I make music and it would be an honor if you would consider making me an album cover. Check out the link on my profile if you wanna hear some of my work.

Well sir, you've just become the first to be put in my favorite artists on NG list.
I planned to only put a very few so only the absolute best I see will be on it. :D
I guess I've got no soul, I get nothing out of this picture except "whoa, great skills!
It looks awesome and your style is one of the best I've ever seen. 5/5 man!
Cheers -Doug
I love the color, mood, style, symbolism and subject. My only sort of complaint is that they look more distraught than bitter. Perhaps bitterness is approaching, much like death might hover over the still living?
I also appreciate that you submit large pictures so we can see the detail.
Author's Response:
Thank you!
Maybe if you see it as not all the characters in the image is bitter, you could give it yet another aproach?
Also, I too appreciate when someone submits larger images, so I'm with you on that one.
Your art is truely inspiring. I interpret this piece to be the two people have lost close to them, the person they lost is the guy with the skull head, they are possibly on a bridge, so this infers maybe there was a car accident, and the man with the skull head was the one who died, I don't think it was his fault, because in your comment you said 'bitterness holds a cigarette' so I think it was the people who are grievings fault, for the guys death. I have no idea if this is right. But its just how I percieve the picture. Haha, very thought provoking.
Author's Response:
Nice way to look at it! No interpertion is wrong you know (:
He looks a little like the skull from Gnarkill, if anyone knows what I'm talking about...
Theres alot of symbolism that you can take from this. And if you want to think about it, it can get pritty deep.
Isn't it ironic to see the Death watching people crying (myabe after that she did her work) and smocking ?
Very good work.
First off, this is a really amazing picture. This type of art with a deep meaning makes me feel more nostalgic every time I look at it. This is what a true saturday night ends up being. If I am correct, one of the persons is upset over a tragic loss of some sort? If I interpreted wrong, I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend.
I still love this picture though. One of the best I've seen yet.
Author's Response:
No interpertion is wrong my friend :)
And thank you!
I love these pictures w/ the skull guy. Some things i would like to know tho are, why aren't there any stars near him? Second is, are these pictures on the Grim Reaper?
Author's Response:
The star-thing is just a slight effect to bring him closer, and no, it's not the grim reaper, at least not in my eyes.
Glad you like it!
This is what I love about the art portal.
That is really quite awesome... The quote is good to, but the stylization of the art is astounding.
This one is really good and the quote fits the picture perfectly,I give it a 10 out of 10.
This is waht ive wating for! ha! Fucking Intense!
THATS. BADASS.
I would hang this up in my room with a freakin gold frame around it!!
Very nicely painted.
Simply amazing, it has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one is beyond simple writing.
"Death holds a scythe. Bitterness holds a cigarette."
Everything has been said.
How long did this take ya dude? Its so freakin awesome. I worship you.
Author's Response:
Thank you, haha.
It took a couple of hours, 2-3 maybe, spread out over acouple of days.
people always said smoking was bad for you. Seems death doesn't seem to care. Ah, well. Very nice image, gotta love it.
or laserkarl, or ivan mcmahon
I hope he has gotten passed that "I can't draw womans" stage.
this is amazing, great detail, very well done
I love the pallet! It does wonders for the mood and I think it does wonders for the mood. I also love how you used the lighting to show that death and the other two have some sort of relation to each other's lives, yet there is still that distance between them.
My only critique is that those cigarettes make a hell of a lot of smoke. On that note, I love how you did the smoke!
Did you use any custom brushes or just what's in PS's brush library?
Author's Response:
Thank you!
No, I used custom brushes, some of them i did myself.
Im going to do all i can to get this into a museum holy shit dude its just WOW!
I wish that I had someone as clever as you to show me around coloring in PS like this. Incredible. Between this and "A Wolf At the Door", you've got some great concepts floating around. I love it! It's clean, and pleases the eye. Did you use a tablet?
Author's Response:
haha, I'm honored. Thanks!
Yeah i used a tablet, a wacom intuos!
thats amazind dude! how did u do it?
Author's Response:
haha, thanks.
Its made in photoshop
this is a fantastic image it has a certain level of ominence to it that is enhanced by you're superb use of lighting the long haired man appears defeated as to does his friend, but to a lesser extent. you have given death a certain pencive stance and he seems almost sympathetic for his unwitting fare.
... and that really is the Heart of Saturday Night.
Awesome work! keep it up, you really have talent.
5/5 10/10
This is by far the best I have seen on the portal so far. 10/10 5/5
Simply awesome.
I have never seen anything as awsome like this before!
This is absolutely perfect!!
Excellent work of art sir!
5/5 + 10/10 + Fave!!!
Hope you post more of your fine art here on Newgrounds!
Just everything about it.
I'd give this a 100/10 if I could. So much I could say about it...
Author's Response:
Thanks man. It's one of my favourites aswell. Have a personal story behind this one.
And your comment made it even better.
