How do you make your own art?

Now this is an awesome piece. I love the detail that you have put into the robotic bit of the character and the general amount of detail in the whole picture. The only thing that I would have improved on, and it is a very small thing, is small areas of the piece e.g. the guys hand in the cockpit looks a little rushed compared to the rest.

very nice. when i opened for a second i only saw the top and thought the bats and the ceiling were far off buildings but when i scrolled the image all came together great. nice mech suit really good detail but I'm just wondering why those only go to the knees. dunno i just find it odd but other than that really good.
