This was originally going to be something else involving a lot more swirls and a lot more colors, but I was worried it would look like a rainbow barfed up twirled spaghetti, so this came out instead. I'm very happy with it and plan on drawing another picture to go with this soon. Which could mean anywhere between next week and next year. We'll see.

The close crop on the right side was the scanner's fault. I'm too tired to bother trying to fix it. Also, watermark. Just because I randomly felt like it this time. :D Also, I may as well mention for the hell of it that this was also uploaded to my deviantart account (starsnap). Go hunt for it if ya want to find it. I'm always really surprised by how quickly new submissions get buried over there...

Nice design.

I love the fractal-esque belly scales. Nice touch. My only complaint, though, is that the nostril is a bit too close to the top of his snout, and the tendril looks like it's coming out of the middle. I'm not sure if either of those are intentional, but if they're not it's just something you may want to look out for in the future.

krissalus responds:

Yeah, you're right about the tendril and the nostril. I actually only realized the mistake after I had inked the entire drawing, so I decided to just go ahead with it and see how it turned out. The nostril was actually a lot smaller and looked really weird, so I made it bigger. It turned out better than the original one, but the tendril is definitely still off. Learn from mistakes, I guess. I'll definitely be keeping that in mind for the next one, though. Thanks for the review :)
