For my friend, for her birthday. Took approximately 62 hours, all by hand, used a reference but I sketched out the drawing on a huge sheet of butcher paper, every stitch is by hand and all that ;D This is Totoro.
It stands at about 46 inches tall.
This is my first doll, but I loved every second of sewing it, so I'll definitely do more.

Really good for your first doll !
I also like to sew dolls,
and this one is really good to be the first one,
and also because its more difficult to sew a big one , and by hand !!

Yay!!!
Awesome work! I don't get how this is made by hand! O.O'
Drew it out on a huge piece of paper, Cut the drawing out and drew it on the back of the material, cut the material into two pieces of the same thing and sewed it closed.
That's pretty much how it went haha

62 hours eh? Well it definitely shows and it turned out fantastic.
I bet you almost didn't want to give it up at the end, eh?
I hope she loved it.
I almost didn't! But I don't like dolls (ironic) they are creepy to me. She loves it, but it is creepy to her actually ;P
Thanks!
