Forget The Sorrow

"Between the sadness and the smile, lies the flicker of the fire.
You always said this never hurt you, I always said you were a liar."

I've been practicing a lot with blending, colors, etc.
It's not great, but it's progress.

Done with Photoshop CS5, PaintTool SAI, and my Intuos.
Time spent, roughly 4 hours.

Every new painting is practicing! 4h, cool.

Her hair is amazing, the eyes are pretty good, background + torso etc is pretty well done.
The general face details are fine, but the nostrils are a little off.
Texture-wise the piece is probably a little too "perfect", giving off a doll-like feeling.
All in all, a pretty good drawing.

KNefarious responds:

I will admit, noses are my weakness. I have so many unfinished pictures just because of how mad the nose makes me. Texturing is my second weakness. I haven't played with it enough to do it well. I need to sit down and watch some tutorials on both.
Thank you so much for the critique, you've been so helpful. <33

Looks quite good, expect nose, and right eye looks little green. Or are the eyes suppose to be different colors?

KNefarious responds:

The eyes were supposed to be different colors, yes. I blame Final Fantasy for that. I'm not even sure why Yuna popped into my head, as I haven't played that in ages.
Also, as I stated above, noses have always been my weakness. They make me SO mad, it's ridiculous.
But, to the point, thank you for your review. You're awesome, and I hope you know I really appreciate you taking the time to give a critique. <333
