Castanic Couple

I've been sitting in this chair working on this for the last 13.5 hours.
This is probably my favorite piece, so far.
I used Photoshop CS5.1, and my Intuos4, and a few different references from the game, but all was drawn freehand.

I admit I got lazy with the details on the couple. 11 hours were spent on the background.
I would also like to note that this is my first "real" attempt at scenery.

So, any constructive criticism is welcome and greatly appreciated.

This looks incredible, the hours you put into it truly paid off. I love the way the whole piece seems to light up my the screen, whilst the characters cast a powerful shadow and are therefore still the main vocal point, even with such an intriguing background. In other words; great job on the lighting! The softer textures you've used for both the characters and the background are really working as well.
Keep up the good work!
