this is wonderful picture, i like the smoothness of the lines :) Good job !
Challenged myself in conveying emotion and action in one pose this time, basically as a second go at a similar older picture in my gallery. Another thing I tried was to make every line of her interesting to look at. Many artists I like have this ability so I may as well learn it too. :)
Also japanese drama background.

I'm pretty sure that those nails aren't suppose to be there, besides a real makeshift sword would at least include a leather or hand wrap grip.
It's funny how many people assume it's a wooden sword as opposed to some random piece of wood she tore off to whack someone with.
I think the thing i really love about this (and the rest of this themed artwork) is not the fantastic dynamics, its not the beautiful neutral tones or the slightly faded lines... its the overall combination including the style to make it seem as if this person could really exist!
You can see the personality of this person, the proportions are believable, the motions are frozen mid flow, its all there!... 5/5
That's probably the nicest comment I got in a while, thanks! In my opinion too much of the motion comes from the background though.
i wish i could do epic dynamic poses like this D:
The art of overstretching muscles and breaking bones.
