Pretty much done with working on this, so may as well submit it. I'm not entirely satisfied with how his burn scar came out, buuuuut screw it.

Anyway, some juicy story behind him: Rick Alasol is a former child soldier, being forced into the battlefield when he was orphaned during an ongoing civil war in some foreign country or another (let's say it's in some Eastern European-ish country). During this period, Rick received his notable scar on his face after his squad was ambushed during a patrol through a ruined city. Attempting to escape the ambush, Rick and some other survivors of the initial onslaught dove among the rubble of buildings, attempting to escape through the debris. Not phased by their actions, the enemy force began tossing improvised explosives and fire bombs into the wreckage to flush them out. At one point, Rick tripped among the rubble, splashing gasoline onto part of his face, only for it to be lit ablaze by the flames of a nearby shattering fire bomb. While his surviving comrades managed to rescue him from being engulfed by the inferno, the burns on his face didn't recover, and eventually scarred over.

Other facts about him: Rick has heightened reflexes, increased agility, and superior perception, all due to being experimented on by a shady organization after his child soldier days in order to turn Rick into a living weapon (earning him the title of "Eviscerator"). This experimenting, along with his war-plagued childhood, took a toll on Rick, effectively killing off his emotions, instead turning him into a serious and cold stoic. Rick's preferred weapon is a SIG Sauer P226 pistol, using the Center Axis Relock shooting style in conjunction with it.

I like his origin story. Made me think of MGS for some reason.

Klobb17 responds:

Thanks, although I bet I know why: Raiden from MGS was also a former child soldier himself.
