Also, I think some parts are a bit too dark, more global lightning perhaps?
It's been a while since I did some 3D so I thought I would practice this morning. What was suppose to be practice turned in to something a little more, but still treating it like practice I didn't bother saving it. While working on lighting and materials, I saved a render and when back to adjust and Windows stopped 3Ds.... I lost 3 hours of work, the entire model, and only have one render to show for it. To make matters worse, it wasn't even a final render, it was a progress shot so I could go back and adjust the lighting.... I wasn't even able to get the proper shadow map in to show the transparency of the glass...
Well.... Trying to turn a loss in to a win, I decided to take it in to Photoshop for some minor post work. Although this was coming along well, I think this ended up not too bad...
So, in memory of the lost model, I post this....
Rip Capsule model: 2/15/2011 8:30am - 2/15/2011 11:30am...

Actually... I had to google an auto save in 3Ds, But there isn't one. There is an auto backup if the program crashes, which I have had to use before, but it was windows that stopped 3Ds, so the poor program didn't even get the chance to auto backup....
as for lighting..... I was working on that...... was....
