Decapitation

The poles are crisp, witch isn't realistic. It looks like a single box with a texture from the "old" 2000's games... The edges are exactly too sharp.

Unfinished background... Something is missing... Ground in the background! Let's say a car is on a tower... But again, there will be bits of mountains or buildings seen.

Car reflection looks unrealistic too. Not sure why, but it gives the car transparent look.

Windshield has a bad texture too... Maybe more reflection?\

I give it 7/10 because of:
-Bad poles.
-Several bad textures (For example, I can see pixels on the poles).
-Missing Background.
-Bad car reflection.
-Unrealistic windshield.

Maybe stronger reasons to give a worse rating, but I give it a good rating because of modeling effort.

Not bad at all!

I think that before I go any further, I've got to point out the major flaw here - the lettering / graphics get too concealed by the reflection of the stones. Perhaps what is needed to combat that is painting the bodywork, then adding the reflection, before the graphics. I agree that they might need some reflection, but I personally believe that it could use less and still get away with it.

A good colour scheme and a decent attempt at a background as well. Somewhat lacking in detail, meaning that there isn't something in the background to drag the eye away from the centrepiece. All good art needs something to focus on, aside from the "main event", as we might call it. Some sort of Monaco-esque scene shouldn't be beyone your capabilities. Soft focus is your key here - you're focused on the car, but in the background, you could make something vague, but still hillside town looking.

Improvements are coming, so keep up the good work :)

Thanks Coop, I have a better version in my art thread in the Art Forum.
the background is lame though.. very lame....
I feel I am slowly getting better at this 3d stuff.

Good pic with some minor flaws

The car looks really nice and the 3D is done very good as well. I like the reflections on the car, they look very realistic (with one exception, see below). I also like the street, looks realistic as well.

You should have worked more on the background, though. Even though there are some pillars it still looks bland with the clear blue sky. Some clouds would look good, I think.

Also the reflection on the side of the car is too strong and the "border" of the reflection is too hard as well. It just ends on a straight line, which looks pretty bad, imo.

So, apart from some minor flaws this picture is very good.

I seem to keep taking damage on the background. I altered it up and posted a rendition in my Art Thread on the Art Forum. I also took the reflectivity down a notch and lowered the camera angle (kudos to Peter for that one.)
give the fixes a look if you get time.
I hope they look a little better

As 3D as 3D can get!

Heh, 3D at last :P. Anyway, really awesome picture, I really can't find many faults in it.

The colour scheme, if not a little too bright at times (making the picture look a little like teh effin Inkrediblez!!! as hikaryuu put it :P), was great. I liked the colour of the sky - it looked really realistic. As for the shading; it's flawless, as usual. I liked the shading of the pillars and the car's shading looked great too. The texture is amazing, especially on the road and pillars, which look even better when zoomed in.

The car itself looks really good - I liked that you added your name to it to give it your own personal touch. I think you should take away the reflection onto the ground, or make it a little more subtle, since at first I thought the car had dirt all over the bottom, then I thought the car was transparent, and only when I zoomed in did I see that it was a reflection. Although it was drawn well, I don't know if you should keep it there... By the way, for some really weird reason, the car looks like a toy car :P.

I'll agree with Joshsouza on the background. The sky was much too plain. You could add some clouds, the sun, birds, a plane or anything that will fill up that empty space.

It's an excellent submission, as usual. Just the background and that reflection need a little working on, but I still can't help giving this a

Finally I have enough free time to answer reviews again. Sweet
Thanks For the 10 and 5 Steph!
The Name idea came from some of the guys came from the Art Forum as I was posting this while doing the maps. The swish on the side was also a last minuet detail.
The toyness probably comes from the higher camera angle. I've already changed that along with the reflectivity and a better Background and got another render up in my Art thread. Should probably give it a look if you got time,
Thanks again.

whoa... dood

that reflection on the car's chassis makes it look like the car is transparent or something...

nice texture work man... might wanna get a few greens in there or some yellow stripes on the road...

some parts of it looks cartoonish... ehehehe... [teh effin Inkrediblez!!!]

the piece at the back of the whole image... it looks like the sky is merging with the asphalt... [man, its sooooo effin hard to not make it look like so effin weird!]

just a small thot, just mah thot... myt'v looked cooler if you put it in an afternoon scene [a little closer to evening tho...] the headlights on.

REVIEW: LOOK AT TEH BEEG NUMBAH

oh yeah... HAI!

Kinsei responds:

Thank Hikaryuu. The votes and reviews help.
The Background was kind of thrown together in just a few minuets to be honest. :P every one was on my case about my other models and them never having backgrounds. Looks like my temp fix backfired right?
I might end up going for a darker blue later, but as for right now, I'm kind of attached to the brightness.
