This is the legendary leviathan people use to fear those years arround 1400. These mithical monsters prevented civilization from exploring the most distant and extreme areas of our planet...I guess they were right on staying.
Its been so fun working with this giant monster muahaha :evillaugh:. Even if this was my first attemp with a fantasy artwork, I guess it came out pretty well.
This was fully airbrushed, and no references were taken from photographs :P

Smooth
OOOPsss!! I see the new Winterfresh logo. zing
Other than that it is a very epic sea battle picture. The power of the Leviathan is endless....
I alwais thought that a Leviathan looks more like a big beautiful sea-dinosaur. But i won't discreditate you for a stupid fact like that, it is your picture, your perception your imagination, endless as well.

Wow
-Just the freeze frame of the leviathan coming out of the ice is enough to make my jaw drop. It makes it look so dynamic and badass. I definitely wouldn't want to be the one trying to get past him. You did well with the airbrushing effects on the ice and the water especially. It looks so cold and realistic. I'd love to see more fantasy pieces like this.

This is a great peice,
i've noticed that everyone draws some kind of aquatic like dragon. your the first i've seen to tackle a Titan like look, very original, you should definately attempt other mythic beings.
