This is a piece I did back in 2010 and updated a year later. I'd like to go back and retouch it again, but I'm afraid I can't do much with out changing how it looks.

Really nice array of colors. Too bad about the inadequacies of the program you were using but that didn't stop you from creating a beautiful environment!

As a suggestion, you needn't go back to this particular scene, but rather you can try making it from scratch again alla another perspective on the same planet this picture was made, if you get my drift.

Nice water effects, ok terrain textures and everything above and from the clouds is beautiful.

Good luck in your future projects! :)

I really love this landscape, I just think a bit more work could be done with the lighting to reflect the color of the light on the clouds and landscape. It's clear on the water, but the landscape and clouds look like they are from a moderately sunny day here on earth.

Thanks for the critique! Unfortunately, the program I use is limited. There isn't a way to 'bounce' light off of water onto other objects. Also, you have to play some visual tricks in order to get something the way you want it to look. There are actually 2 suns in this, one behind the camera and the other blue one you see. You need a sun facing the front of the planets in order to actually see them, same with the terrain. The blue sun has incredibly low power (.01) compared to the default sun power (3.5).

Water

Indeed.
