Dragon challenge finished piece. It was hard to finish, but right people tend to help a lot :)

** Edit: My friend Shadowheart wrote a beautiful piece inspired by this work, give it a read if you have time. I'm not crying, you're crying. https://cardforge.net/2018/02/26/the-last-of-her-kind/

Wow, such a huge piece! And very vivid, beautiful colors. My only complaint is the crystals on the dragon's head are a bit murky looking. Some even look blurry. Sharper, cleaner crystals would have made this a 5/5 for me.

Thank you so much for your words, and yes, I agree. For some reason I thought that smudging them out would be a good idea at the time, but wouldn't do it again if I were to rework the image.

Such a bright and imaginative piece! :) Really brings you into a new world; one that lies beyond our earthly gray... I like the design of the dragon, ornamental headpiece, and spikes that almost seem to float into the air - the whole creature seemingly seeping into existence, a part of cloud, of the mind, maybe, brought forth by the imagination of the little girl on the mountainside. Always appreciate a clash between small and gargantuan too, and this definitely has that clash! Imaginative, soft and beautiful, all with pastel-like tones. It feels like if any image would define the fantasy genre than this could be it. :P Conveys both the mood and motive. Hazy like a dream...

Kaolinn responds:

See, again, you should be the artist in this one!! Because I thought about making a non-lizard looking dragon so it turned out like a barbie horse :D :D

There's a beautiful piece written as if it were the story behind this piece, I'll link it in author's commentary if you want to give it a read!

I love the colour pallet in this one. The brushed style blends together really well in the default view, but the details come out so much nicer in full size. Great work!

Kaolinn responds:

thank you so much for your words, I did spend a lot of time on the details so I'm happy you noticed them :)
