Branham's Robot (back shot)

Share

Back shot of my coal-powered robot sculpture (front can be seen in my latest art). I had this shot sitting around but did not like the background so I added a little bit of apocalyptic madness in Photoshop.

The piece is based on a design and commissioned by artist Tad Branham. I used Sculpey Clay and smoothened coins for the arm plates and head piece.

I tried to marry Branham's original design with 1980's toy joint designs and a few tweaks to make it seem more functional.

Special thanks to Enil Rodriguez for the shoot!

And just in case, from the Q/A:
Q: No photographs? What about a photo of a painting I did in real life?
A: A photograph of a sculpture, painting, or some other piece of art you have made are in fact exceptions to this rule. Feel free to submit scans and photographs of your art if it's not already in a digital format.
