Ninja Gigante

Share

The latest and greatest from Draw With The Ninjkabat. I wanted to do one that was themed for International Day of the Ninja (which is December 5) and so this massive ninja is what came from my pencil.

That's right, from my pencil. I actually drew this picture in my sketchbook and then imported it. During my show, I went over my technique for taking a drawing where I sketched in red, "inked" with a 2B pencil, and then manipulated it in photoshop to look like digital outlines. I kinda like this technique because I draw a lot better when I have pencil and paper in my hands, but I color a lot better digitally.

So, if you didn't watch this week, this is what you missed. I actually think I beat my previous record; I had 26 viewers come and go during the course of my show. If you haven't checked it out at least once, I reccomend doing so next Tuesday at 9pm PST. Be there.

Also, it's amazing how much a gradiated background makes a picture look legit. I think that is hilarious.

ninjas- there are atleast 7 more hiding on the pag

haha love it, how did u import it?

Ninjkabat responds:

You'll have to come watch my drawing uStream to see it done. I pretty much just scan the thing, and then go through a few steps to desaturate and clean it up. It makes the lineart look nice and digital when zoomed out, and I still get to draw traditional, which is why I like that method.
