Vacuum doesn't actually have a good enough medium like air to flash freeze things. If they where recently let loose, than they'd stay warm for a little bit due to the heat not having any matter to transfer over to. If the RPG was modded with a small oxygen tank than it'd work. I'm don't know if normal RPGs even suck in any oxygen.

Yep. If you ask me to draw a cat with laser eyes and a jet pack shooting chocolate bunnies in space, I'll straight up draw just that.
Also, for nerdy reasons, the cat's jet pack comes with a mass effect barrier that separates it from the vacuum.
