So I'm going to animate this and the last comic into full scenes with the same level of detail. It surely will be fun.
If I were to ever get my own TV show, Katyusha's backstory is this: Her father Mark (Марк) was a part of a Soviet Frontiersman/ Scouting Unit looking for new areas to expand the nation. Once war broke out the military made use of his math and coordination skills and he was assigned as an FO (Forward Observer) to mark locations for artillery.
Once his time was served he returned home and married Yeva, a woman in his home town whom he randomly began to write. They fell for each other and begin a family.
They have a daughter named "Lyubov" first. Mark is happy but still wants a son. Waiting about 5-8 years before trying again for a boy, Yeva gives birth to a second daughter "Katyusha". Deciding two girls is enough, Yeva and Mark agree on no more children.
Years pass and Lyubov develops an interest in the things that Mark did as a young man for the Soviets. Katyusha tries to but does not, causing her to feel inadequate to her sister. Lyubov knows this and finds other ways to help her younger sister feel good about herself. This makes the bond between Lyubov and Katyusha very strong.
Lyubov enters in the same Frontiersman Unit her father served in. During this time a severe hurricane back home claims the life of Mark, who saved Katyusha from death. Lyubov rushes home and discovers a new family dynamic: Yeva cannot shake the bitter feelings she feels towards Katyusha because of her role in Mark being exposed to the hurricane. Lyubov takes on the role of Katyusha's guardian until she must leave again for the frontier.
War breaks out once again and in the chaos Yeva, Lyubov, and Katyusha are all separated and lost from one another. But a new goal arose: once the fighting ceased they must make their way back to the house and find each other again.
2 years later: Yeva did not survive the war. Lyubov made it home first and waited for 6 months for anyone to arrive. To her extreme joy Katyusha finally made it home escorted by Paviel, a friend.
But trouble reemerges. Desperate men intend to snatch Lyubov and Katyusha and sell them for profit. When they make their move Paviel fights as best as he can to repel them. He is overwhelmed and doesn't survive.
As Lyubov and Katyusha run, Lyubov gets shot in her leg. Unable to run, Lyubov instructs her sister to run one more time, but never come back. The sisters depart from each other for the final time.
Lyubov remains behind to fight the men chasing them. Ultimately, Lyubov is defeated and killed.
Katyusha never forgets her sister.
