The Blood Compass

Share

Happy New Years Guys!

hope you are all stoked for 2014! I know that I am!

Anyways here's a pretty tough looking viking guy using the dreaded Blood Compass! All you gotta do is drop in a generous amount of your bloods and this evil little trinket will point you right towards some glory! From the looks of this guy he's been using the Blood Compass quite regularly! He's gotten that sweet basilisk-scale tasset as well as a grim-spine shield so far, what will this wild wanderer encounter next?

One thing to keep in mind when using this badboy is that every use requires a larger amount of blood from the host if consecutive readings are used. Eventually the user goes a little too far and someone else finds a dry corpse beside the lonely tool and the cycle begins again!

This is awesome - I enjoy your descriptions as much as the picture itself. But for some reason it took me a bit of time to understand what I was seeing in the middle of the picture (his knee). Maybe because it's a bit busy, or because you didn't show the other leg, or maybe I'm just slow?

jouste responds:

nah you are probably right, i bunched him up into a busy ball because i liked the silhouette! thanks for the kind words and high score!

*highfives*

Isn't that blood too bright?

jouste responds:

it's a magic compass! of course it's going to be brighter!

thanks for the high score!

This is awesome dude! It's exactly the kind of standard that I'm trying to obtain with my own work, could you please tell me what program you use for your line work?

jouste responds:

Sure!

So i use a cintiq 21ux and photoshop with a really simple brush setup. i find the real trick is using the "grow selection" option to expand the outer lines helps a bunch. hope that helps!

*highfives*

ohohoh, this looks awesome! nice work
i love the details

jouste responds:
