Scorpion Re-design

Share

Some folks at my work got together and started DRAWW! a weekly art jam with a few of the designers.

http://draww.blogspot.com /

this week it was Spiderman Villains and i did up the scorpion! One of my favorite old school Lee Ditko badguys. I re-designed him with a backwards style costume robbing some sacks of money! what a jerk! Oh and be sure to watch out for that headbutt!

super fun stuff.

Very Creative

Would love to see this animated or have a background

animating is defineitly not my strong suit. and neither are backgrounds D:

I dunno...I don't see how this works.

I mean...if that thing can crawl on it's own, then he'd be facing backwards.

And how does the scorpion sting if the guy's head is stinger? The head-but won't really work on enemies his own size. It's too long.

I know he's your favorite character and you've redesigned him accordingly.

I just don't see how this villain functions properly.

Now...if you wan't MY opinion.

Somehow he needs to be more like a transformer.

The scorpion should be like body armor...wrapping around his back.

The main claws covering his forearms and the small legs acting gripping around this torso.

The tail could cover his groin.

Then he can instantly switch into scorpion mode by laying flat. It acts as a means of defense when he's surrounded by enemies and he can dig his way underground to escape an ambush.

that is a pretty sweet redesign, i was kinda just going for laughs on mine haha.
