so here's my entry. i snuck in some NG classics but primarily its two warriors bashing each other atop a mountain of stuff. they each represent the good and evil around newgrounds, the struggle and accomplishments as well as the constant chaotic creations!
no particular month for this one ;D
the dude on the left represents hard work, solid code, and dedication to morals and mutual respect for the entire community. the nasty dude on the right with the octo-cloak and dual blades is all the strife that goes on in newgrounds; the resentment of fellow artists, the wrongfully blammed, the trolling.
but they are both important to making the community super awesome. that's why they are creating an explosion of awesome atop a pile of awesome things! we got loot, skulls, angry face, ribs, squid, and the newgrounds moniker!
hope you guys dig it!

i loved it also i loved the little details like the dad'n'me skullmask and the flying alien hominid on the sides you are by far my favroute artist besides a couple of people, im inspired to do something like this y'know good vs evilbut mine will be shit like my other work lol nice job 100/10 thx.

so the guy on the right represents the clock crew and kitty krew? lol....i h8 them so much.
but the guy on the left. i think my fav part of this piece is his wings and sword (impractical as it may look). i think im going to have to actually make that sword. if i get around to it, i'll make sure to contact you and send pix and junk XD.
anyways, great concepts here, awesome art, keep up the good work. (octo-cloak, i never would have thought of that....mind if i borrow the idea?)

This drawing is epic for two reasons: the symbolism that revolves around it and because of the great amount of details. And all your other pieces of art as well, I like them and they kick ass!!
Y'know, I draw stuff too, and pretty good actualy (and im getting better). But, someday I wanna draw as awesome as you do!!!

I'm sure you know how good this is, so I don't really have to tell you that this is fucking awesome. So I guess I could just give you a quick suggestion.
Considering that this is going into a Newgrounds calender, I think you should work more on the idea that you did with the Hominid in the back ground. Alien Hominid is a good example of the "good side" of Newgrounds. So maybe put a few more iconic characters behind the good knight. And alternatively, some examples of bad icons that make up the evil side.
What you have here is really great, in fact it could go in the calender like this and still be great. This is just something I thought you should consider to make it more Newgrounds related.

thats a good suggestion kaptain, i may of said it before but i only put in a few new grounds related dudes because everyone was already doing such a great job on them.
i was originally going to do a dad n' me piece but cosmicdeath's one is so cool that i'd never want to go up against that or take anything away from it.
if it costs me a calendar slot because of my lack of NG content that's fine. as long as some people like it i'm happy :D
Jouste, I'm just glad you're entered this submission. The way you incorporated elements of NG in this piece, the symbolism and clash of both characters. I'm simply floored by it. It's really great the way it is. I'm rooting for you (even if my entry doesn't make the final cut).

I've never written anything on your art, because I'm pretty lazy sometimes when it comes to reviews, but your art is amazing.
You've got a very unique style, much different than many other artists (which is a good thing). This is a wonderful piece and is a very good idea. . . And let me say something. . . . . You're gunna get a spot in the calendar, NO ONE could turn this down :3

I like this, lots of detail, color and a great center of the fierce encounter. More debris might make it even better, but it looks great as it is, the white lines give the clash of swords a nice feeling of power, characters are creatively concieved, the NG logo is easy to notice, and I like the mild brown/orange colorscheme, looks good and is easy on the eyes too. Keep it going!

i actually had alot of debris in there before and took some out. i hope there's enough newgrounds stuff in there. i basically created both these guys for newgrounds anyways. like they are all theirs to have, i have no intention of keeping them for myself ;D
