hello every newgrounder!
here's my entry for the newgrounds calendar contest for 2011! i decided to do a newgroundian comrade quake! egads!
i drew up some of the more recent newground deals and put them on a shifting and chaotic ground of rocks, artillery, and iron treads. the rocks represent crude ideas and they are mortared with blood to represent all the hard work that everyone puts into each and every one of their submissions. the billowing standard of the hominid and the fossilized tankman skull shows us to never forget the original newground content on our chaotic journey to the bright, lightning blasted future.
in no way is my image playing down to the classic newground content, you know as much as i do how important they are and that they will be here forever, always making us laugh, cry, and get our game on. this image is just to show that a brand new lineup of newgroundian champions are ready and able to take up the front lines as we push onward!
i tried to fit in all of my recent favorites from tom's awesome list of newground sponsored content, i did have to take some imaginative liberties on some of the more classic art styles (that's what a space-ninja looks like right?) but it was totally fun and awesome to draw these amazing games. can you name them all? or have i brutally failed in my artistic attempts? D:
i have always considered it an honor to be apart of this community and hope that i have represented that in my entry.

When I first saw this the first thing I noticed was the Miami Shark near the bottom next to Larry.
awesome! yeah my eyes tend to gravitate towards the shark as well.

It is truly excellent image. I'm really into this style of image, the propaganda side really sticks with Newsgrounds and all that could be said or done on this site. Moreover, you come to incorporate characters that we're not used to seeing so vulnerable. Really, a great cheer and good luck for the contest.

Wow, love seeing the new characters on here. Especially love seeing Tyrone! Incorporating Newgrounds' "past" was a great idea; very well-executed.
