I like how the window looks, how it's made makes it seem like a attic and not just a room. The hobo himself looks like he's smoking, if that's the case you should try a pipe or cigarette. It also looks like it's steam coming from his breath because it's cold either way it's really nice. As for the Hobo himself it's really nice how he has the long hair and scruffy beard, you got the skinny body right also. The bottle are a bit small and as a suggestion, you should make them liike like beer bottles, like make them a brown color and tall and slim.
Those candles (sorry if they are not candles) by the window I find are kind of out of place, if it's day time why would he need candles? same with the lamp. I like the lamp and it's a nice touch, but why would it be on during the day?.
Other than that it is a WONDERFUL picture. Keep up the good work!

I wanted to know what kind of paint and pencil you use, i'm only 15 and I was hoping to get a decent paint set this year for Christmas, what do you recommend?

Johannek responds:

Well i use regular pencils, nothing fancy. try to get a hold of some softer pencils (B to 6B) or something, for deeper shades. this one was made with pastels though.

i'd recommend acrylics if you want to play around with colours.
depends on what you like. i just prefer it as it dries faster and is, to me, easier to handle. easier than oil paint atleast. but thats just what i think!
