Pretty quick nightmare-themed painting. turned out weird.
made with acrylics on a small canvas.

WOW. The other commenters are right âEU"âEU" this experimentation is going wonderfully and producing some really great stuff. The overhead light makes it seem like she's really in some dank, poor room, and the dark treelike and lake are only reflections of how alone and helpless she feels. Evocative yet sad, but none the worse for it :3

Very striking. A bit of a departure from your other stuff - it's cool to see that you're trying out different themes and styles. The lighting in this one is great - it really gives the piece a lot of mood. Do you ever exhibit your work or sell it? I think you could be making some good money with this stuff

Thank you very much!
Yeah, fun to experiment! Not very often, but i do when i get the chance. Not a lot of galleries and so on in my location. I've sold some paintings/drawings though!

You have pretty nightmares :)

I can't really say anything, except the medium you used gave the piece a wonderfully blurry aesthetic, very dreamlike. An excellent execution, and a wonderfully ominous atmosphere, you're piece invokes an uneasy feeling for sure!

Lots of love,
- Celx

Johannek responds:

Haha, i didn't exactly dream of this, but the colours and atmosphere are pretty much the same. This was a thing i pictured in my head, that i thought would be weird/interesting, lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
