This big (can fit more than my head in the mouth.) gouache painting with hollowed out eyes, mouth and nose is going to be rolled up into a cylinder and become a sort of a lantern. Gonna put a big candle inside of it, which will, hopefully, make the hollowed out and highlighted parts glow. I'll post another photo of it when that day comes.

are you going to cut out holes? i found out one way that makes paper glow really well when you put a light behind it is painting linseed oil on the parts you want to glow. it works reallly well

that sounds great! i never used white colors, i instead left some of the parts unpainted. so that'll glow enough i suppose, i do not know yet. but thats a good tip! thank you falk.
