A Grim Journey

"A Grim Journey" inspired by the game "Grim Fandango"
Made by me, for a mix of things.
Poster sized, I can sell prints if wanted.
Enjoy!

Man did I miss uploading art, lol!
I can't want to draw something new.

Such Grim. So Fandango. Very Manny. Much Yes!
Ahem.
I love the style you used--it gave the picture a soft feel despite the angular shapes and Mexican/Mesoamerican flavor of the overall imagery. I love how much you were able to incorporate.
Most of all...The speed demon. I love the little walk-on you gave him...
5/5, I'd probably buy a print if you were selling them.

The detail of this piece is impeccable. The color shade effect in the background really catches the eye!

Could of sworn I've seen this series somewhere before. But I'll look into that later, the composition look awesome. It's like looking at a in-game slideshow and the dark values mix with the sketchy hatching gives itinteresting depth. Though it doesn't suit the greenery and flowers plus the yellow light at the background. The flatness fits but the outline is a bit too sketchy with its low oppacity. The rest of the background is awesome.

JamSession responds:

Grim Fandango's the game.
The flowers symbolize death in that game as when you are killed the bodies turn into flowers. That's why the flowers are not really beautiful and more rough. Thank you so much for the review, I was unsure on how soft I should have made some of the foreground and background objects, but I'm glad you pointed those ideas out. There's always room for improvement! :)
