The bird and cat's face are excellently rendered, but the leaves don't have the depth that they need to "fit" with the rest of the picture IMO. It feels strange having such a densely detailed cat face in the middle of loosely detailed leaves.

Something about this instantly reminds me of a Pixar cartoon. The art style is reminiscent of what their sketches resemble before animation. As a matter of fact, I can actually see this BEING a Pixar cartoon; Right as the cat leaps to attack, the bird flies off and the cat hits the ground. Then the bird, in his panicked struggle flies into another bird. They argue, are pursued by the now angry cat, and then become best friends because the cat chases them straight into the face of a semi-epic adventure...
