I added a few things to this after Kiki-Mimi's review motivated me to, I did the stripes in the background and added some shading to the chin area; I also added small details like the dots on the brow and swirlys on the collar. Repaint of an old colored pencil drawing from two years ago or so. I really like Jesters.

Thanks, Wayne

Oh, neat. I saw you paint that earlier on the chatroom.
I really love how the bottom puffy costume is done with all the shading but i feel as though the outter most crown and mask could use a little more work definition or even the background to make it pop a little more. it just feels a bit flat to me, as if it needs more flare like how your old Venetian Mask color pencil drawing was like where the eyes were very adorned with the swirls. or maybe partially the background to have some of that iconic diamond checker with red black gold etc colors or something but either way that's just me/ what i think but overall I really like the re-paint piece much better, good work.
on random side note I actually own a real Venetian hand painted mask my friend got for me when she was in Venice by some famous mascherari guy from what she say. its very pretty~ anyways keep up the good work! :3

SourCherryJack responds:

Yeah, I know what you mean about the face lacking definition and flare. I'm going to go back and touch some of that up. I like your idea for the background, but I'm going to do stripes instead of diamonds.
I've been meaning to get some masks, there's a store that has some beautiful ones not far from me, I doubt they're as nice as one from a famous Italian though, that's awesome.
Thanks for the response and critique.
