New Clothes

Share

Just a quick drawing of my squid kid because I really do need to post more. This is my typical outfit when I play as roller since it's also my newest (and most expensive ach) clothing.

Done on SAI using the Binary tool.
Effects done on SAI using airbrush.

I like this a lot :)

Too complex for pixel art, too pixelated for normal painting styles.

JackalBerserker responds:

Thank you for your feedback. I'm slightly uncertain how the complexity/pixelazation is part of the feedback, however, seeing that NewGrounds is a site that accepts all different types of mediums regardless of program used as long as they are of quality. I did have a feeling that one day I was going to receive a comment about this, so if you don't mind, I'm just going to explain why I chose the style I did since I do use it fairly often.

I've seen a lot more complex pixel art being submitted on many different sites, NG being one of them. With that said, this style is neither pixel art (hence why I didn't add it to the pixel art tag) nor any type of painting. SAI has a tool that resembles the tools that were available in older Microsoft Paint applications. I do, in a way, like the style that older Microsoft Paint has, but since this computer that I'm using now currently only has the newer application, I decided to use SAI. Plus layers and an easier color select, eyy. I understand that this style isn't everyone's cup of tea, but not everyone will like the same thing someone else does.

Once again, thank you very much for the feedback though! I appreciate your time.
